Register, then create listing? Too redundant for my client!

I am working with a client who recently purchased this website, eFarriers.com form its original owner. He absolutely hates the fact that you need to 'Register' to create a listing. It is very redundant, especially in this day and age when visitors will click away from a site simply if they see an email field they must fill out before accessing content. I see form 5 or 6 other threads that indicate others don't like this either. Is there a way to have people obtain a listing without registering? I fear my client dislikes this enough that he may not want to use this theme moving forward. Please assist, is there a workaround for this?
