Vantage - Beginner Questions

I have installed Vantage Theme and Directory Child Theme. shoplocalhsb.com
I feel like there is something big that I am missing.

1) Which do I activate the Vantage theme or the Directory Child Theme? I tried both ways. Currently I have the child theme activated.
2) I have added widgets to the main sidebar but they are not showing up (search, create listings button, recent listings, etc.)
3) I have added the directory/map widgets but they are not showing up
4) The appthemes website says that "Vantage also comes with the following pages that can be easily added to any menu: Purchase Listing, Create Listing, Categories, Listings, Blog, Edit Profile, Sample Page". These pages do NOT appear in my pages list. All that I have are: About Us, Contact Us, FAQs, Get a Quote & Testimonials
5) I have uploaded a header image to replace the vantage header image that includes the picture of a Rolodex. Neither the vantage header image or my custom image show up on the pages.

Please help!
