Vantage does NOT manage recurring events.

This is a big functionality shortcoming and not something which should be addressed in the Ideas section (Dimitris). It is something which should be addressed in the next release. The display date must not be less than today. Surely that is not too hard for you guys to code as a fast measure to clear up this mess? I don't want to muck around with core files to do something like this.

Please schedule a fix for this and at least acknowledge that it is a functionality issue and not an Idea. Check this out - http://northlakesqld.com.au/ and you will see that most events on a directory website are recurring. Great website yes (give me an award), but I am constantly manually updating my event dates.

Most events in society are recurring events. Website administrators prefer recurring events as they are set and forget (except in Vantage) and better for SEO as the URL is permanent.

The below threads all consider this to be a functionality issue yet their concerns have been brushed off.

Please address this major Vantage Events functionality issue soon.
