Vantage - Event Review by Editor for event submitted by Author not working

Hi
I am facing a tough issue where an event submitted by an author is showing as locked, even though the author has submitted for review.

here are the steps I am following:
-> Login as Author-> Make an event entry-> Click on "Submit for Review" -> I get a response stating "Post Submitted"

-> I log in as Administrator -> I dont see the pending Event for approval -> But I still check the list of events and I see the test entry showing but with a lock sign stating <author name> is currently editing.

I tried to submit new events but the same issue with every entry. I also try to "Accept" the event on the Moderation queue it says "Post Submitted" but even then I dont see the event as pending when I login as Admin.
