Vantage pagination & custom permalinks problem

Hi,

I am building a site with Vantage 1.2 and WordPress 3.5. I have set the permalinks to the recomended form: /%postname%/ but this has stopped pagination from working. The page 2 button now leads to a 404 error. Switching back to the default permalinks makes pagination work again.

Could you please tell me how I can have both the recommended permalink structure and pagination working?
