Image on the post?

I'm using the theme slightly differently and, as a result, I want to be able to attach an image (just one) with the submitted "idea" (which can be designated featured image).

Is this a relatively easy hack? I'm not a coder, so will have to get somebody to hack this for me. Unless, of course, it can be incorporated into a future release of the theme.
