    Removing "Welcome" tab in landing page

    Hello, I am very new to wordpress and no php coding skills. I would like to get some help on how to remove the "Welcome" tab on the front page. I tried accessing Ads Home Template Page php script but I don't know if deleting the line <li><a href="#block0"><span class="big" id="welcome-tab"><?php _e( 'Welcome', 'jibo' ); ?></span></a></li> will still work or might just cause problems on the child theme.
