Featured jobs Scroll Bar like featured listings in Classipress

It would be great to have an option to display Featured Jobs in a scrollbar like Classipress (Featured Listings).

The biggest issue at present, when you have many featured jobs, it will start to fill the whole main page, forcing the 'Latest Jobs' further down. Generally you want to fit in all your main information without the scrolling

How about a featured employer sidebar widget like the one below, just click on one of the employer logo's and it will list all of their job listings. Try it out and let me know what you think. Great exposure for business and great for the job seeker who wants to see a list of all jobs from a given local employer.

The problem with a featured scroller is jobs don't have images so it wouldn't work very well. We could set a limit on the number of featured ads allowed so essentially you'd have a certain amount of "featured inventory" to sell.

For a featured job, we could include an image upload, otherwise deafult to a certain image. It is not a good idea to place limits on areas of the sites that create revenue, don't you agree.

This feature request has been discussed with the development team and a ticket has been logged. This means it has moved on to the next stage where I can track progress of its release in a future version of JobRoller and update the thread as information comes to hand.

We have 2 similar threads on this topic which relate to the implementation of some sort of featured scroller, so I have submitted both to our ticketing system for the development team to look at.

I'd want to see the featured jobs in the sidebar is possible. Otherwise this theme wouldn't differentiate with ClassiPress, it will look the same, have the same features and most certainly your future buyers will be puzzled as to what to buy.

I'd say it's sensible to stick it in the sidebar like a featured employers widget or featured jobs which automatically scrolls up/down. It's eye catching if it auto-scrolls than static.
