Featured Employers Sidebar Widget

Hello, I would like to submit a feature request for the JobRoller theme.

For employers who place job listings, a featured sidebar widget that would allow the employers logo to be displayed. When their logo is clicked on the site user is redirected to a page that displays all of the featured employers job listings from within the Job Roller theme.

Featured Organizations and Featured Listings

Hello Team, please consider the following for a feature request.

The right sidebar box named FEATURED ORGANIZATIONS (see image below)has 8 business logo image placeholders that rotate many logos on a rotational basis. When a business logo is clicked on the site user is redirected to that particular business job posting page where they can:

1. Learn about the business
2. Click on the business logo and go directly to the business website
3. Read about the job details and apply if desired. (see image below).

I would like to be able to offer this feature / functionality to businesses who choose to pay for a Feature Job posting.

Nice idea, but first we need the employer profile feature, so people can view the information about the company.

Then we could introduce the featured employer widget!

Hi drucey, in the 2.jpg image, I just thought it was pretty nice that they had the "about the company" and the "about the job" information all on the same page, rather than having a seperate business profile feature.

Nice idea tbase, I'd say that would be very good as well.

My thoughts for the employer profile however, was to in particular provide a list of all other jobs posted by that company. (and also provide a general space for general company info)

I just hope they implement on the right sidebar options for "Related Jobs" and "See All Jobs by this Employer"

Hopefully both will be possible once employer profile pages have been completed.

Also, the extended search options (if they get implemented) could do something similar.

This feature request has been discussed with the development team and a ticket has been logged. This means it has moved on to the next stage where I can track progress of its release in a future version of JobRoller and update the thread as information comes to hand.

We have 2 similar threads on this topic which relate to the implementation of some sort of featured scroller, so I have submitted both to our ticketing system for the development team to look at.

Woohoo! This would be an ideal way for recruiters to get more exposure and more applications!
