How do I add a full width slider to the front page of Jobroller

Hi, I am trying to add a full width slider on to my website but i can not figure out where to put the code for the slider.

I want the slider to either be the very first thing on the website OR I may add it under the search bar http://proper-jobs.co.uk.

I tried adding it but it just extended the white box that the search bar is in if I add it to the same place and I want it to be in its ow white box.

If anyone can point out where I need to put the code I would be most grateful.

    Many thanks
