Remove Google Maps Completely!
In order for me to go live with my site, the last major hurdle I have is to remove Google Maps but still leave an input for City/Town, where the Location field currently resides.
To paint the entire picture, I am hosting a web site that covers a single County with a population of approximately 400,000 people. Google Maps isn't necessary unless I can tweak it to pinpoint the Business Address location. But for this example, let's say we can't do that.
What I need to do is to remove the Google map on the Submit a Job page and provide a text input for the Location where the user only has to enter the City/Town the job is posted in. Alternatively, if this could be a drop-down menu, even better (hopefully the menu could consist of a custom Category field or something similar). The user should NEVER have to enter a Province or Country on my site.
Then, I would like the ability for job seekers to hit a dropdown menu on a search page to be able to refine the search based on location.
Unfortunately, I'm not a strong WordPress coder and I have no clue where to start. Although, I've made some light mods to the PHP code in Jobroller, so I'm not afraid to get my feet wet...I just need a little guidance from someone who can tell me where to start and what not to break.
Any assistance is appreciated.
