Slideshow on Jobroller homepage?

Hi all, I want to add a simple slideshow above the search area of jobroller on the homepage. I want to keep the default jobroller theme as I know this is the theme that is mostly bug free and keeping close to the updates. So how would one add say this plugin: http://www.woothemes.com/products/wooslider/ above the search on jobroller - just something simple or even another plugin to get a slideshow going that can be edited? I know I could create a simple child theme but is there a function to add a shortcode above the search area?
