Customising the jobsapp site
I have just about got the site looking as I want it but there are some things that just doesn't make a lot of sense. For example:
In the job post form there is a field "Job Salary". This is hard coded and the employer picks from a drop down list. What would you put into the list £10.00 per Hour, £ 10.00 Per Week, £ 10.00 Per shift, £ 10.00 per month, Above average, minimum wage, £50.00 per Annum you could go on for ever and still not get the value some employers would want. It doesnt make any sense to have it like this (can this be changed)
Most jobsites have a field with a hard coded currency symbol I.E. £ 15.00 + Overtime and a dropdown list for the frequency like Hourly, Weekly, Per Annum ect.
I posted a job for a Head Chef but it doesn't look right to me when viewing it as a jobseeker. I copied and pasted some text. And it displays the same text in the description and how to apply.
Im also a little confused what this is for "Tags (comma separated)" in the job post form.
The only other item I came accross was I wanted to put some text at tee right side within the header:
S.M.S.JOBSITE
Dedicated to the Hotel and Hospitality Industry
We can offer a range of job solutions to the employer and jobseeker alike. smsjobsite.co.uk was set up as a specialist jobsite dedicated to the hotel and hospitality sector. Please also visit our sister site's at
www.trsb.co.uk and jobstrsb.com where you will find a range of temporary, part time and where employers can contact us with emergency job vacancies.
But when I try and do it the text loses all its formatting and looks like:
S.M.S.JOBSITE Dedicated to the Hotel and Hospitality Industry We can offer a range of job solutions to the employer and jobseeker alike. smsjobsite.co.uk was set up as a specialist jobsite dedicated to the hotel and hospitality sector. Please also visit our sister site's at www.trsb.co.uk and jobstrsb.com where you will find a range of temporary, part time and where employers can contact us with emergency job vacancies.
I've actually left it as it is so you can see. at
www.smsjobsite.co.uk
Sorry to be a pain but i need to get this right.
