    Remove space for featured slider

    I've decided I don't want to use the featured slider on the homepage, but when I disable it most of the space where the slider used to be is still there. How can I remove the big space on the homepage where the featured slider would go?

    I don't want to start messing around with the templates and mess something up so I wanted to ask you first.
