   I did achieve this using a WP plugin"BULKPRESS" There is another plugin "Export BULKPRESS" that copied all listing categories from my other site. Hope that helps

    I had the same problem. You have to enable the option that all new members can register on wordpress. You'll find it in the wordpress option under general.
