In most cases a child theme isn't more then an overruling css file.
The plugin makes a child theme folder with a css file which tells to take over the main style.css from the parent...

This is ofcourse only the basis , if you make modifications to the php files you need to add them in the the child theme with the same structure as the parent theme.
