This is a setting found in your general WordPress dashboard under Settings > Reading, and "Blog pages show at most"..just set the number as required.

It is not yet an option with the current version (Version 3.0.5.3). There's a plugin called "WP Search Custom Field" which can do the same but it only works with previous version 3.0.4.
