I tried this : in the database > wp_options >
under option name find this > cp_version
there you will see your old classipress version no: like 3.1 or 3.0 etc...

Alright, looks like I randomly fixed it. All I did was add a subcategory again to a category where I'd deleted the subcategories from before. Then I deleted the sub again. Seemingly fixed it. Stupid...
