Do a Google Search for Navicat, I think you can still get a trial version, the licenced copy is not expensive but it allows you to do a lot as you are a novice without you having to do loads of code.

You need a MySQL Tool to copy the data from one database to the other, however unless you are into writing sql, if you want them to 'auto' update, then you need a script to make this happen.

You're right hugo, the option is in ClassiPress admin > Settings > "Advanced" tab, "Admin Table Width".

I think (not certain) in cp dashboard settings is an option to change the width.
