I've been posting projects on freelancing sites for the past 5 years vworker now know as freelancer and Elance. So just giving my3cents how I think a good freelancing site should work.

I have tried the following third party plugins for user/profile avatars (a really important feature for a creative services job board):

There's really is no incentive to do business on the site. Since there is no mediation or escrow. Its all based on a honor system I guess.
