could be a plugin. the redirection is done with javascript and if there is a javascript error before the redirection took place then the browser could stop the script and redirection won't occur.

I made a test account on your site and tried to post a featured ad. As you said, i also got stuck at the "you are now beeing..." page.
The problem is that i can't replicate this on any test site...
