I plan to create the initial entry for each business in order to quickly populate the directory,

1) However I would like to then alllow the business owners to take over the listing and make changers as they see fit with more text and images, hours of operations, specials, etc.

2) Allow the business owner to be able to respond to reviews and to incorporate it into their customer engagement strategies.

Does Vantage have this functionality?

1) The business owners can change the data in their listings and add more text/images depending on the fields you create for them.

I was mistaken, authors have the ability to reply to reviews of their listing (Vantage 1.0).

I don't see the question he's asking fully answered.

1 Can admin transfer ownership of a post to a member?
This is important if admin e.g. want to list a business to promote site. Then later, he want to transfer authorship to business owner who then again can modify it to his own liking. I'd like to see a message in post like "Do you own this business? Click here for info on how to change your ad" or somthing like that. He can then contact admin, identify himself as the business owner and admin can transfer ownership to him.

2. Can owner of a post post answers to a review?
It's important that the business owner can reply to reviews. Especially if someone make false allegations, the business owner want to defend his business and reputation. Also, he probably want to thank posters for good reviews in order to buiild a communiative relationship with his customers.

a. Are these 2 points available in Vantage?
b. If not, are there any plans on integrating it or simular features?
c. Where can I see the workshop of future implementations that is decided to implement?

3 Is there an option to chose length of payment? e.g

option 1 Pay 1 year $xx
option 2 Pay 2 years $yy - save xx %
option 3 Pay 3 years $zz - save yy %

1.The admin can create listings and as you suggested, add descriptive information about how a business owner can claim a listing.The admin must create a user account in Wordpress and then assign the listing to that user.Then the user with his username/password can login to Vantage and change his listing.

2.Yes he can.

3.At the moment there are no 'listing packs' or membership plans in Vantage but there will be in future versions.

Categories Available with the package

I just reviewed the demo for the directory listing theme. The demo only has food related businesses. Does the theme come with a larger set of categories or the user would have to create all of them going forward. Do you have business listing packages available by county to start a directory site?

I noticed the available option to import business listings.

Categories are not pre-loaded into the theme, so when you install Vantage you would need to create all of the categories (so you can of course select those which are relevant to your directory). There is no separate package for each country as the country information can easily be configured from within the admin dashboard. Yes, there is a .csv importer built into the theme to allow you to bulk import listings if you wish. Thanks.
