Adding a Forum to the site

    Hello,

I have seen some ad sites which have forum. I was wondering if these are part of the initial package or additional plugin that have been added to site? I was also wondering just how easy it would be to add a banner to the home page which could display messages/announcements? I look forward to your reply. Thanks

Forum is not part of the package and yes you can add a forum using a plugin such as this Simple:Press .

Adding a banner for announcements may require some form of customization which can be implemented reasonably depending upon your coding skill.
Please help our moderating team work more efficiently by not sending us support questions via PM. You can read more about how AppThemes support works here. However, you can send a PM to follow up and remind me if I missed your support request/thread.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Does this plug-in also belongs to appthemes? How much will it cost?

No, Simple:Press is not an AppThemes product, it's a free plugin.

Another example of a forum used in conjunction with ClassiPress is found in this thread, where the customer is using a phpbb integration.

It's important to note that although these customers have successfully got these working, we do not officially support third party plugins.
