Adding text to category pages

Hi there –I really like vantage theme but check your demo, showcases and read forum and I can’t see if it’s possible to add text above the category listing? I’d like to have category pages with minimum 350 words of text so they will be immune to Google Panda update.
For my business category pages are really important and I don’t want to get penalize for having a “thin” and duplicated content. Can you clarify if how easy it is to add custom text to the category pages and the text will be display above or after the listings?

There are no specific settings within the theme to add text to the category pages as you describe, so it would require some customization on your part. Our themes are not encrypted, so you are free to make such modifications if you wish, and ultimately how "easy" it is depends on your level of coding knowledge, however our themes are well commented. Thanks.
