1. How does it work with duplicate place names?
2. Can you remove the payment options so it is all free?
3. Shouldn't people who list resume have more privacy for their personal details. Ie like forcing people to login?

1. I'm not sure what you mean exactly? In what way would having 2 jobs in the same location be an issue?

3. You can choose from the JobRoller admin whether or not to allow only registered members to view resumes
4. You can disable the Job Seeker login type which in turn does not allow resumes to be added.

Hi thanks for answers:
what i mean by question 1: is - say I was seaching in Vancouver, Washington, but what comes up is Vancouver, BC. How does the system prioritise duplicate place names? Is it clear what format the user needs to type in the search box to get the location they are looking for. Is it best to say make sure you follow place with state and country for example?

Editing this post for clarification:

The Google Maps setting in the JobRoller admin does not relate to the actual default search location, it is just a setting for the actual Google Maps language for your site.

I have discussed this further with our development team and have been advised that once you enter a location into the search, the actual search results are completely reliant on Google Maps, and JobRoller does not have control over this aspect of the search. So, if you specifically want the US location "Vancouver" then you need to type "Vancouver, US", or even "Washington".

Will this fix the UK searches so they don't default to US versions?

See edited post above. The team have advised this is purely down to how Google Maps itself works.

If that's the case, the theme isn't going to work properly for UK customers. If they're based in the UK and enter a search for jobs in 'Worcester', a city in England then results for Worcester, Massachusetts aren't really going to be of any use.

Isn't there something you can alter in the Google API to change the base country, and then either offer country specific versions of the software or a country search option on the front end?

At this stage I'm not able to buy the theme, which is a real shame as it would work perfectly in every other way.

I'm just checking further into this with our development team and will post back as soon as I have more info. Thanks.

I too feel that this is an issue as I am based in the UK.

I am not willing to buy this theme as the google maps would not default search for just the UK.

I agree with previous posts and it is a shame as I like all the other features but this issue is a big drawback

you can change the header.php to change the title "location" to "location (include `UK`)"

This will help your users use the search form with better geographical results.

You can not use the ' and " symbols to display as text in the php files as they are recognised instructions by the php readers. Thats why I used `symbol instead in the text.
