The theme isn't designed specifically to use a static homepage or one different from the default, so whilst you could change the default landing page, you would need to carry out additional customization of the theme files in order to have features such as the featured ads slider appearing properly, and other links usually on the homepage working correctly. It could technically be done though. Sponsored ads are not category specific, so this also would require customization on your part. Thanks.
