Can I get a freakin update?

So I see Vantage's release date has been pushed back to Nov. 5! How hard would it be to notify everyone who's waiting? Instead you make us come back to check and even then we have to dig for the information. This is no way to treat your customers. I'm getting the feeling that you really don't give a dang about your customers.

Would it be too much to ask for something like this:

Vantage: Update
Due to ??? the release date has been pushed back to 11/5
We are currently working on ?????

Instead you make us search.

This is exactly why we always suggest people who ask about upcoming themes and releases, to follow the AppThemes Blog, as this is where ALL official announcements are made. Had you subscribed to the newsletter, or even followed on Twitter, or Facebook then you would have known of the Vantage blog post as soon as it was made.

How else exactly did you expect us to notify you personally, as an unregistered guest of the forum for whom we have no direct contact deatils for?

I signed up to be notified upon release. Would it be too hard to use that email address? I'm not trying to pick a fight. I want to buy your product and you're company is treating us like we don't matter.

At least now I'm prepared for when the release date gets pushed back to late november, then december, then "just in time for christmas" then "we're going to start the new year off with the release of VANTAGE!", then "just in time for tax season". lol, really guys! come on!

AppThemes has now posted up a "releases" page which will allow all existing and potential customers to see progress of upcoming new themes and updates.. We hope this will give everyone a better idea of when they are expected and how far in each project is.. http://appthemes.com/releases/

Jan - Feb?! New release date for Vantage

You guys crack me up. October, November, (screw december let's go ahead and jump to next year), Jan, Feb???? I bet it doesn't get release until next summer!!!!!

I will NEVER put my trust in you guys ever again. If you can't give a more accurate estimate than you've given then you don't deserve my business.

Yes, as you have obviously seen from our releases page, a decision was made to push the dates out for the new theme, Vantage. This was to enable our development team to focus all their resources on getting the updates to our existing themes out to our customers as soon as possible.

We are sorry to have had to disappoint those hoping for Vantage this year, we realise it is a much anticipated product. We are in the process of looking for a new full time member for our development team which will help prevent these delays in future.

As disappointed as I am to see Vantage delayed ( ) it is good to see the Appthemes folks narrowing the focus until they can build up team resources so they can develop and support all themes. Walk before running is a good thing. That said, I didn't see any announcement about this change in the "announcements" forum, twitter, or blog . It is a shame that with all these channels for direct communication that nothing is posted ("Releases page updated" and some background on what's changed and why... or similar). I suppose the first page we should all be opening for Appthemes is the release page? I think that might help to alleviate customer (and potential customer) frustration. :)

You guys seems not at all caring for the customers

I have been waiting for the clipper theme for quite some time now and has been watching the clipper blog post on appthemes blog. I have commented asking for some updates as its already nov now. No response so far. And you guys keep postponding the release dates. Thats not the way to do business as many people are actually pushing their launches due to your lack of adherence to the committed release schedules.

I wonder how you guys are maintaining your business and the customers.
