The URL you provided does not work, but in a general sense, yes you can essentially make any customizations you like to our themes as they are not encrypted. I'm not sure exactly what kind of functionality you are looking for, so it may be worthwhile looking at all of the
available themes to see which has most of the features you need already built into it. This will give you less changes to make to add whatever is missing.. Thanks.
