Can user choose their own password?

I read on another page that ClassiPress assigns a user a password and that they can't choose their own. Is this true? Thank you.

Yop, it's true. It's is horrible issue for classipress. more then 50% of my NEW customers went away -> cause this feature costs a lot of time and it's boring for them.

I'm using this plugin -> WP User Registration

People from now can use / type their own password into system. AND another thing. They can imediately login to their accounts and post an ad.

The next version will have this feature by default.

It's total easy ! Just go to section MODULES -> add new -> search for " WP user registration " -> IT should be the first one from searching options..

Install, Activate it ...

After activating it ... You should have a setting options for this plugin in left panel in "SETTINGS -> Wp User registration

MY settings are:

Password -> required
Word verification -> disabled -> cause I'm using SI Captcha for verification all over the web (also in posts and comments)
Website -> Disabled
First name -> Required -> good option -> now people should write down their frist name, which will show also in their profile page
Second name -> Required -> same as the First name
Nickname -> Disabled -> cause the defaul wp_login template has this option in default
AIM -> Disabled
Yahoo IM -> Disabled
Jabber / . -> Disabled

TO: Jomarkosabel -> it's good to know, that this will be included in new release.
IMPORTANT: It's very important to completely describe all new modifications in new releases also STEP BY STEP. Cause Never will just upload new files. I have a lot of modifications -> HARD CODED THINGS in templates and I think I'm not alone, so step by step is very important thing -> HOW CAN I ADD NEW features / options in my old version of classipress. BTW -> Classipress is faar away from SEO like from Premiumpress software. BUT -> It's much easier, better and nicer - very nice template . Has a lot of bugs, but I think, when people from Classipress will listen to us, customers and implement all important things it will be GEORGES.

I decided for this template because of that development possiblity. I'm developin a lot of plugins and modules not only with wordpress companies but also with JOOMLA cms systems and so on. So maybe moderators think that I'm looser, that why I didn't make my own template. I didn't make it because I want to make it with other people like this classipress. MORE PEOPLE MORE IDEAS MORE EFFICIENCY...

Few things on my mind to next realease:

1. not only categories but also types for example -> category: cars , types: for sale, buy, rent
2. possiblity to implement into <title> of page each of the custom field for example : Title_of_post | cp_city | Name_of_the_blog
3. related posts under the description with thumbnails and 20 - 40 characters from description
and so on....

The next version of ClassiPress v3.0.5 is due out within the next couple of weeks.

I use Register Plus Redux which lets users create their own passwords and lots of other things besides. WP User Registration isn't the only plugin that does this and I have found that it's useful to try out a few plugins to see which one best suits your needs before settling on any one solution.

To steeld -> yes, good opinion. This little bug that people / customers need add an extra plugin to make registration with their own password is not big problem. WORDPRESS is great in this thing that people can use a lot of external plugins which can cooperate. So yes. A lot of plugins a lot of solutions. Thank you for your :Register Plus Redux: ... I didn't try it, but i'm gonna now for sure and look which is best for me.

For moderators -> Maybe you should make a new ROOM for posts named -> BEST external plugins for CLASSIPRESS.
People can share their modifications and plugins what are on theri sites and which is for what best.
