Can users post anonymously?

Ok so I've read here that if you allow anonymous posting you will get alot of spam. But what if it is a pay site so the user posts his ad then pays? No spammer would pay to post an ad. So could this be a possibility? Thanks.

Yes, I would like to know this as well. Also, are there currently any options for the search and its filtering...right now it only has a textbox and the category list...does it search all fields for a match? (including custom ones) Does it use "AND" when mulitple words are entered?

There are some advanced features planned for classipress 3.1 for the search as well as for posting.
The present search already has some advanced features such as autocomplete for keywords. But you can expect some more features in Classipress 3.1. Here you can find more details about it.

You mean posting without registration? This is presently not an option.

Some users have posted modifications in order to allow anonymous posting. But there are a number of disadvantages. If somebody is posting anonymously you won't have a dashboard where the user can manage their ads since the user doesn't have an own user id. Another disadvantage is .. how to contact an anonymous poster if somebody has a question? If the user is registered you can use the contact form that automatically includes the email address of the poster.

There are some advanced options planned in classipress 3.1 such as facebook login and account creation module that will make registration easier.
