Categories, multi use in one site, forum

    1. Can I define my own categories? I don't see where in the demo.

    2. On one site I want to use this for classified ads, will put in a subdirectory. On the same site, I would want to use it as a way to let anyone post about an upcoming event (if I can define my own categories!). I assume I need two subdirectories and two complete installations if I have two sets of categories and different uses? Do I need to purchase two licenses?

    3. Is the template to your forum available since I would like to have a forum on my site with the same look and feel as my classifieds?

    Thanks.

Let me try to answer your first two questions and just leave number 3 for David to answer.

    1. Yes as a wordpress function, you can define your own categories.

    2. Yes you need only one license for your classipress installation on several subdomains or folders as long as it is of the same domain/domain name. David has clarified this already and I'm just too lazy at the moment to dig for that particular thread/topic on this forum.

    Thanks, Jomark.

So the categories I see are actually the Wordpress categories? Cool, I did not get that, but it makes sense.

As for question 2, ok, one license, but I do need completely different installs of Wordpress, right? So if I am making a newspaper type site with Wordpress and want a classified ad section and an "add your own event" section (based on your code if it works out), I need three complete installs of Wordpress, right?

    Thanks.

Yes I think you got it. As an example is my site www.cebulive.com, with it have created four different subdomain installation of wordpress and classipress in it.

Great, so three wordpress installations, one purchase of ClassiPress.

David, is the template to this forum available or need I reinvent the wheel?

    THANKS.

The forum template could be just a free template included in the PhpBB installation. I could be wrong though.

As long as it's the same domain, you have some wp cache happening and a decent server why is it such a problem? besides setting it all up of course :D

And feel free reinventing the wheel, or hey, maybe use the wheel on your mouse to scroll down and check where the phpbb link takes you.
