Classipress 101

I am considering Classipress for a website idea.

Do you install Classipress?
I have a Godaddy account will it function at that host?
Can I increase the sizing of the pics, ex. cars?
Will Classipress function out of the box, ready to startup?
In other words as it is do I just need to put a logo on it? limit categories?
Do I need my own Googe Maps code?

I use html css, no wordpress yet. What programs will I need?

1. Installation service is not part of the package but surely some users can assist you with that.
2. Godaddy supports wordpress and so I think classipress works just fine with it.
3. Yes there are options in the wordpress admin to change the image sizes.
4. You need first to put some categories in it including some details in the settings.
5. You can put logo if you want to. You can control the number of categories since you will set it up first (see number 4)
6. You just need the google maps API key which you can get for free at google.

Since most of the files involved are css and php you can just use notepad to edit/modify those.

I suggest that you make yourself familiarize with wordpress by installing it and playing with themes since Classipress is just a theme.

When users are listing items in Classipress.....how are the pics uploaded into my Godaddy hosted site without my password being input'd by the user?

Are the pics uploaded and named by the program to keep them seperate from others?

Is there a spot for video, example car video on a listing?

Can the user use html in the description?

Image uploading is a wordpress php process and they are uploaded on their own folders in the server.

No direct video upload but you can use youtube for that.

Yes you can enable html in the description.

I will buy it and figure it out. I want to start a sales site either all classifieds or Cars/Realty...it will be a learning experience, fun I hope :)
