    Commission off of sales

    Hi,

I'm thinking of installing Classipress and wondered if it would be possible to collect a 15% commission off of every transaction that occurs on my website? Is this easy to setup via PayPal?

Also, I'd like to have people who post items for sale not list their contact info so the seller must come through the site and not circumvent us (thus taking our commission with them).

    Thanks in advance!

    -Jeff

Kinda sounds like your looking at a Final Value Fee, similar to ebay. It would be kind of hard doing that with the current version of CP, because a seller can remove their listing at anytime, without notifying the Admin.

Inside the admin panel, you can designate what type of fee you want to charge per listing or category. It can be a flat monetary fee or a percentage of the ad.

On the second question, do you mean Buyer instead of Seller?

    Hope that was helpful.

Thanks for the quick reply. And yes I did mean buyer not seller. 4 a.m. here, maybe I should call it a day :D

Hi, seems like you know quite a bit about CP and I'm about to launch my first CP site and wondered if you'd be my consultant per se. I would pay you for your time and expertise. (This also applies to other CP gurus out there).

    Thanks!
