    content articles

Forgive me if this has been an answered but I didn't find it in the archives:

I'm putting together a niche classifieds site and need to be able to add articles. How would this be done?

ClassiPress allows you to list classified ads only. If you wanted to also have an articles section I recommend setting up a separate instance of WordPress and making that your blog/article engine.

    Re: content articles

By having a second instance of WP, how does this affect SEO?

How would I link to the articles?

    Re: content articles

This wouldn't affect SEO at all.

I've seen several customers have their blog/site setup as the root, and then have classipress setup as a sub-directory.

http://www.yoursite.com <-- this is your first instance of WP.
http://www.yoursite.com/classifieds <-- this is your second instance of WP for classipress.

You could then just link to your articles from wherever you like.

    Re: content articles

Classifieds would be the main content with articles as secondary.

I suppose related products and advertisers could be posted as well as items for sale, with their own categories...

Can eBay plugins be used with this theme?

Hi, just hanging around, waiting for 2.9...

An interesting idea... Anyone have experience with eBay plugins?

Also, if you only need 1 or 2 articles, creating a new page might solve the problem.

    Re: content articles

If content articles are in a separate WP install, how do I show links on the main classifieds page?

Could articles be just another category and mix with the other classifieds?

Are tags supported for the ads?

Sorry to be so dense, but I'm not sure I understood all of this response... Can someone restate this, so that an old guy can get a clearer picture. Thanks to all of you for your help.
