Hi Is there anyway to purchase classipress without certain custom fields ie. giving street address(to much info regarding sellers location could lead to being targeted by criminals house thieves who can gain info about who lives in the residence by pretending they want to buy the article if they can find enough info if the person lives on their own for exsample then they know exactly where they are living. This field would definitely deter customers from using or placing an add on the site where i come from )

.Also state field is irrelevant in my country and would look totally unprofessional having that field in my website also where is the field for the advertiser to give their telephone details, that field has everything where they live, their e-mail except their phone number is would be a fundamental field before i could purchase otherwise i would have already done so

ClassiPress includes a custom fields and forms function which allows you to create ad forms with only the fields you wish to use. This means that you can leave out fields you don't want such as street address if you wish. You can easily edit the field values and the name of the "State" field if this does not apply to your country, or remove it altogether (although note that removing all location based fields may effect the Google Maps accuracy). You can view this specific screen in the ClassiPress admin demo, where you would simply delete the existing text and replace it with values relevant to those of your location.

There is documentation and a video tutorial available for setting up custom fields and forms if you wish to have a better idea of how this works.

Thank you for answering my question i have 1 more question on the categories themselves.

In the classi admin demo i tried to add a new category Animals but was not allowed it said it was recognized in the default is there a tape to show about adding new categories or is it straight forward enough

The demo is fully functional, however data is not saved into them which will be why you could not create a new category. The process itself is fairly straightforward though, and involves entering in a category name and selecting a parent category (if applicable), then click the "Add New Ad Category" button in the Ad Categories screen. This information is also available in the ClassiPress documenation :)

The parent tab is where i was getting confused as it would fall under pets, i was trying to create a new parent theme Animals and have pets as a sub category of animals but i presume the parent categories are set its not that big of an issue but its just not all animals are pets

Thanks again can i also ask what sort of hosting will i need ie. bandwidth etc to handle a good deal of traffic especially if their was a large volume of adds being posted in an hour -day.

The theme does not come with pre-loaded categories, so you set up all the parent and child categories yourself. If you want Animals as a parent category and pets as a child category, you can definitely do this no problem. As mentioned, it is only the demo that prevents you saving the data.

The hosting providers mentioned on our WordPress Hosting page offer plans which are perfectly suitable for running our themes. It's not likely you would need to worry about traffic volume on any of their standard plans, but it's always possible to up your plan later if you needed to anyway.
