Custom Styling in Vantage Theme

Is there a place within the Vantage theme where I can add my custom CSS? Or will I have to go in and change the internal style sheet?

Hi, at the moment Vantage does not include an option in the back end to add css.The recommended method of adding css is to use Child themes.If you are not comfortable using a Child theme you can add/alter the css files manually.

We were thinking about using a plugin that enables custom styling for WordPress pages/sites/themes. Have you had any experience using something like that? Do you think its a good idea?

I am trying to avoid the use of extra plugins.I think Child themes are the best approach to customizations.It all depends on your programming skills and the changes you need to make to the theme.Vantage comes with a number of options to change the appearance.You can check the options in

WordPress->appearance->background
