I didn't see any of these specific questions answered when I looked through the forums. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a couple questions about functionality and capabilities of this theme. I have some specific features that need to be available that I'm having trouble finding. For example, the home page will have the logo and a search box, city and state, where they will type in their city and state and then hit search. It will then take them to a page showing them featured listings within a thirty mile radius with the closest matches showing up first. Some of these featured listings also need to populate a slideshow on that page. I also need to have x amount of categories that will be just icons and when clicked will take the user to a new page with listings for the thirty mile radius in that category.

I need to have four levels of listings, one will be featured on the first results page in the slideshow and then under the categories with only an image, then on the category page the same way. The second level will be featured under the categories and after the first level on the results page, these will then be in the category pages as well after the first level. The third level will only appear in the category results and after the first two levels. All these listings will be a square image with their logo, most likely, the slideshow will need to populate from the first level's thumbnail and have text added by us. If it's just making an image to upload into the slideshow, that is fine.

The final level will just be a four line listing with name, phone, address, and website and will be listed in a side bar on the right in the category pages.

I'm having trouble finding a directory theme or plug in that is capable of this, most of them seem to not be able to handle the categories refining the search results after the city, state is entered or can't handle the search bar just being city and state and having it automatically show results from a thirty mile radius.

Vantage does not separate listings into locations as you have described (although you can of course search the locations using the location field as seen on the demo site). If you're looking to achieve what you have outlined then you'd likely want to look at a WordPress multisite installation and would likely also need additional customization work in order to give the initial location selection options and other functionality you have mentioned. Something like this has been set up by another AppThemes customer using Vantage as shown on our AppThemes customer showcase, specifically here. Much of the other points you describe would also require modification.
