Hello,

I just bought the domain that will be used for my classified site. A bit more research before I choose a theme.

This question is regarding display advertising/banner advertising.

I figure that I will have roughly 6 or 7 main parent categories for my site. I was wondering if it will be possible to have different display ads in each category.

So for example, in the "Pigmy Goat" category I could sell display/banner ads to local businesses who market their products to Pigmy Goat owners. And in the "Racing Car" category I could sell different display/banner ads to the local businesses who market their products to Racing Car owners. With two totally different categories, there's obviously no point having the Pigmy Goat food supply store advertising on the Racing Car listings pages, etc.

So can it be easily be set up to have different ad campaigns running in the different categories of classifieds?

By default the theme uses the wp125 plugin to display ads. It doesn't do this. You can mod to use other plugins to display your ads. I don't know of any that display ads by category by defualt, but I do know people who have modded the MaxBannerAds plugin to do this. Maybe wp125 could be as well?
