Does Clipper have these features?
Below are the required features for a client's site. How many of these requirements does Clipper have? Which ones can be done through the API?
-------------------------
We would like to create a website whereby our customers can create a coupon, set limits as to how many are available to on-line viewers, set available time frame of coupon, be able to remove coupon at any time, track its usage and probably a few more things. We would like the coupons to be virtual - so that the coupon can be shown on a smart device/computer to the merchant (auto-generated QR code for each coupon?), whereby the merchant can approve with their individual security code.
Here is a bit more detail as to what we wish to create. This is not written in stone but we would like to have a website that basically allows for the control of coupons - both in using and monitoring.
Coupon website Overview:
Customer: is the business offering the coupon
Reader: is the person wanting to acquire or use the coupon
The Customer Coupon:
We are looking to create a website whereby Customers (businesses that want to offer a special discount/value added offer) can sign up and create a standardize coupon with their logo, contact info and of course their special offer (or we can create it for them). We are calling these coupons “Discovery Deal” Coupons.
All our Customers will have the ability to set a start and stop date for their coupon offer, set the max number of coupons available to Reader - if they wish - and have the ability to remove their coupon at any time.
They will also be able to see who has accessed their coupon as well – as basic information such as email, name, address would have to be filled in – in order for someone (Reader) to receive or claim a coupon.
Our Customers will be able to track this information and if so desired, send an email notifying readers/coupon users, that they have a New Coupon available as well.
The Reader using the coupon:
These coupons are promoted within our customer’s ads – in print and on line - with these ads directing the Reader to our Coupon Website where they will be able to “check out” the latest coupon discount or value added offer!
Readers use their smart devices, or computers to go to our coupon website and see the special coupon offer. Traffic is recorded as well as the actual signing up for the coupon. The Reader has to fill in basic info – name, email, address, etc. – whatever information is felt needed. The coupon is now accounted for - the Customer can view this coupon on any smart device, or computer and the Reader can claim the coupon. BUT only the Customer will be allowed to modify the coupon, remove it from the website, etc. The Reader will be restricted to one coupon per Customer based on their email address and full name. There would be a disclaimer accompanying each coupon.
The “Actual Use” of the coupon can be accomplished in different ways but we are encouraging the “Virtual” way. For example, a Reader has registered their virtual coupon and has a smart device. They can bring up their coupon on their phone at any time after they have selected and registered their coupon. Lets say for example the coupon is for a restaurant meal discount. The restaurant sees the coupon on the smart device, approves the use of the coupon by tapping the “Approved” button on the screen, types in their approval (Customer secrete code - maybe letters and numbers - min 5 digits max 10?) and the coupon is now registered as “Used”. If a Reader prints off a coupon and shows this, the waiter or manager must use their smart device or computer to connect to the DD website and approve the coupon. All parties can see – online – that the coupon has been accepted and that is very important – as we want to track coupons online. We would have prize draws for all coupon users as well. This encourages all Readers to use their coupon and Customers to record coupons as used. There may be additional rules/conditions to the use of the coupon but only if the Customer wishes and they would be just text on the coupon - for example - the user may have to show their park visitors pass or the publication the ad was in.
