    Ease of Setup

I have a domain and Wordpress site up but have been dissatisfied with two competing products because of non-existent documentation and failure to do what they claim. I am hoping JobRoller is different. I am all about easy and uncomplicated so if yours is difficult for a non-technical user to make small changes at the dashboard, please let me know and save us both time. I know the categories I want to set up, initially a free board that can be converted to pay, to import listings from Indeed and (ideally) elsewhere, the ability to use Adsense plugins, a site that can be searched and not only scrolled through (multiple keywords--if not available, the ability to use a custom search engine on the site), RSS, Facebook and preferably LinkedIn login, featured listings, the ability to accept resumes and make the resumes searchable (again a custom search engine if needed), email notification to job hunters.

These are the basics I would like--other things are secondary--I want to reiterate--easy of configuration AND documentation that speaks to a non-technical person.

How do you match up? What can't you do? Please, no surprises. Just tell me the truth. Thank you.

The installation itself is very easy and can be done from the WP dashboard. You can try out the admin area in our Admin demo. You can find that here: http://www.appthemes.com/themes/jobroller/ .
Most of the items you named are built in but because it runs on a Wordpress site, it can be easily extended with plugins. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them.

Thank you. Are there any obvious things missing from my list that I would extend with plugins?

Your list is actually pretty complete! One thing you could try to do is to add a Cache plugin. This speeds up your site if it has a lot of jobs. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them. When you buy Jobroller, you will have access to a seperate questions forum for Jobroller.

Thanks for the compliment about the thoroughness of the basic "spec." I know what I want to start with and can add on from there.

And to be clear, I was asking if there was any functionality that was not provided by Job Roller from that initial list. This can manage my expectations.

And for the record, as is the case with all Wordpress themes, the physical installation is easy. Unfortunately, jobs are only posting intermittently whether from the admin dashboard or as a user. I have used multiple computers, multiple user accounts and multiple people and we all have the same issue--we enter a job from the submission page, click next and in almost all instances, our job disappears and we are bought to the submit page. There is no job to approve for posting. Our work is lost. Worse yet, the problem is intermittent. The troubleshooting moderator has no problem. Me and others do and there is no way to figure out what is wrong given its intermittent nature. Intermittent problems are terrible. I posted a message yesterday afternoon asking for comprehensive help and have yet to hear anything from anyone. All I want is something that works as promised and, if it is my fault (which I can't imagine. There is only one plugin running and little changed other than the steps up until job posting that we've installed).

Sorry to drag up a 6 month old thread, but did this issue ever get fixed? Do you have any other feedback (positive or negative) on your JobRoller experience since then? I love the look of this theme, but I'm moving some big sites and I've been burnt before as you have so I'm being cautious!

Yes. They found a bug in the software and that my web host was giving me an atypical installation of Wordpress. The two together were lethal. I switched hosts and have had no problems at all.
