Is it easy to completely remove the Business Listing option?

We need to build a 100% events site, so we don't need the "Business listing" part. Is it easy to remove it eg. from the menus and from the search options, or will we need to tweak the theme files?

This would definitely require customization of the default theme files as there are no settings to switch off this primary feature of the theme. Vantage is not encrypted, so you are free to make modifications if you wish. Thanks.

Alright, thanks for the answer. We are considering the purchase, but we have some more questions.

Without special customisation:

- would it be possible to list events first on the homepage (now, when we scroll down, we see that businesses are listed first)?
- is it possible to change the order of the menu items (to make eg. "event categories" come first instead of "create listing")?
- do expired events disappear from the listing and from the map? in the demo we see events dated 2013

It's not that we don't like customisation, but usually everything falls to pieces when we upgrade to a newer version of the theme.

- This would still require customization as there are no settings within the themes admin which will make these changes
- You can use the custom menus feature of WordPress to modify the order of menu items as shown on the Vantage admin demo
- Yes, you can determine what happens to expired listings and events, for the purpose of the demo site we choose to leave ours there so we have content to show

In terms of customizations, we recommend the use of a child theme so that you don't lose customizations in the process of an update. Thanks.
