I am having a problem where I am allowing free ads to be posted. But I'd like to make certain posts appear in the featured bar.
When I make a Post sticky it doesn't seem to work?
Anything I could try?

I began this thread, have purchased the software, and am currently configuring.

What the first web site needs is:

-- All ads are free
-- Don't want the Featured option to display at the bottom of the "Submit Your Listing" ad entry screen
-- Plan to manually select posts as sticky in Post screen

Can someone confirm if our settings are correct?

-- ClassiPress > Pricing > Charge for Listing Ads: = No
-- ClassiPress > Pricing > Show Featured Ads Slider: = Yes
-- ClassiPress > Pricing > Featured Ad Price: = Blank (not the number zero)
-- ClassiPress > Pricing > Price Model: Price Per Category (although it seems this setting would be ignored by software)
-- ClassiPress > Pricing > Price Per Category: All set to 0 (the number zero)

I understand we need at least five ad posts for the Featured Ads Slider to begin working.

I'm unclear how to configure Ad Packs, given the configuration I'm wanting.

@kirkvan: Yes your settings are correct for a site with all free ads, without the featured ad box in the ad form. You don't need to configure any ad packs at all for this particular setup you mention.

@brucehere: What in particular is not working? Have you stickied the posts correctly? If so, do you have at least 5 stickied ads?

When you go to your wp-admin screen > "Posts" and then you click on a post name to open it. The "Edit Post" screen should have a "Publish" box on the top right-hand side of the screen where you can set the post to "Stick this post to the front page" (see image below).
