Featured Listings

Hi,

when an ad is featured, does it automatically move to the top of the other listings in the category where it is listed?

It is not a feature yet with the current version but there is plugin for that I think.

I must confess that I'm surprised this isn't already a feature!
It's pretty standard with practically all classified websites that a featured ad appears at the top of other ads in the category thereby increasing its visibility.
In my opinion, this is even more important than the ad appearing in the featured ads slider on the homepage.

Can you please let me know if this is being planned for the next release?

I plan to generate revenue by selling featured ads and I'm quite sure customers will be more willing to pay if their ads get priority placement within the category/sub-category where it is listed.

I think it is already requested at the Ideas Exchange page AppThemes Ideas Exchange . However, inclusion of a certain feature (on the next version release) is dependent upon the number of users voting for it.

Its implementation might require some custom coding and including the use of a plugin.
