Hi,

I came across your demo directory at http://demos.appthemes.com/vantage/. We have been looking for a directory solution that can satisfy the following needs

1. Admin to be able to add entries and send an alert to the entered company
2. Country to be a drop down menu
3. User to be able to add a category
4. Admin to approve all entries and an alert to be sent to the user once it is approved
5. Alert to admin when an entry is added
6. Seo friendly – key words and meta description
7. Be able to stop spam
8. Add a logo or image
9. Notification for enquiries.
10. Must be able to upload data(users).
11. Filter by country and category

Can the directory satisfy the above needs

To address your points specifically:

1. Yes you can create listings from the admin dashboard, but notification is not automatic
2. Vantage uses Google maps integration, so when you start entering the location it will complete/suggest for you to confirm
3. Categories are created by the admin, not users
4. Yes, you can choose to moderate all listings before they are published with notification to user when this is done
5. Yes
6. Yes this is the case with WordPress in general, and our themes, however you can also use other SEO pugins if desired
7. You can do this through moderation of listings
8. Yes, the logo is configurable from the Vantage admin dashboard
9. Enquiries sent to business owners via the listing is sent directly to the listing owner
10. There is no feature within the theme to upload bulk users, however you can add manually or if you have knowledge of mysql admin you may be able to add in bulk that way if a WordPress plugin does not already exist for this
11. You can search the relevant country in the main search fields, and within a location search you can find a distance radius and category advanced search in the sidebar as seen on the demo site here.

Hi, can you tie an event to a business in Vantage? Looks like events are businesses are separated.

Currently yes they are separate, so there's nothing specifically in the theme which would link an event to a listing at this time. Thanks.

I have a question!

I have two questions:

1.) Instead of "EVENTS" can we title that "Work Requests"?
2.) Can we tie together the categories for Business listing along with categories for "Work Requests"?

These would require theme customization, but technically it could be done. Thanks.
