Our themes are not encrypted, so making theme modifications is entirely up to you, but whether or not you "break" the theme with your mods, you should be aware that customizations are not officially supported.
The translation files are submitted by members of our community, so although they are verified to work with the theme, there is always the possibility that someone may translate something differently to how you may do so. You can of course easily edit the .po files to suit if you needed to. The currently available
French translation includes the admin pages.
