I have an existing site which I wanted to add a business directory for our members but I can't find any suitable plugin and I can't understand the custom post and custom taxonomies sufficiently to create my own directory section. So I'm considering converting my entire site to the Vantage theme. I want our members to be able to edit their posts from the front-end. Only our members can submit posts. I want them to be able to upload multiple images but I don't want them to wade through other people's images. I want them to have the kitchen sink so they can pretty-up their listing. Non-members can only send a request via a form to be able to add their own listing. Does this make sense? Is all this possible with Vantage?

Vantage has a front-end customer dashboard, so when someone is editing their listing they are only seeing their listing and images (not those that are visible in the back end media gallery). So, to clarify, customers don't see the WordPress admin dashboard at all, they'll see something like this on the Vantage demo site. Only registered users can post listings and edit them - but you as the admin can determine if listings are published immediately or held for moderation by you before they are published. Site visitors can sent the business owner a message via the listing contact form, and do not require registration. images within the text

Thanks, Pepsi. I would like the images to be shown within the text, not as a gallery listing. In other words, the first image (maybe the business logo) could be displayed beside the title, but any other images could be within the text itself. Is this possible?

The user cannot do this from the front-end by default (although admin can use the "insert into post" function in the wp-admin to insert an image from the back end), so ultimately it would require customization on your part if you wanted to allow this within the description field from the front-end. Vantage is not encrypted, so you are free to make modifications if you wish. Thanks.
