Geographic search
As I understand it the Clipper theme allows site visitors to search by name of the retailer or the name of the product.
I want a theme like Clipper but as I run regional websites I want visitors to be able to find coupons relevant to their geographic area (by UK postcode or city name).
I am dealing with many real-world businesses that do not want to promote website-based products or services but want people to visit their establishments. The coupon is a great idea. But, website visitors don't want to type in "coffee" and then have to scroll through every coffee shop offer in the State (county) to find one close to them.
I think it would be an easier sell to advertisers if I could say to them "type in your town's name", and have the results page come up with their offer on that page (along with perhaps competitor's or friend's business' offer too, to help make my sale to him)
I see the JobRoller has geographic serach as part of its theme - so I guess I'm asking if the Google Maps API can be installed into Clipper? (Not bothered about displaying a map - just want to be able to localise the SERPs for each visitor based on their postcode/city).
Thanks for your time.
