German language files V1.0 do they work with V.1.2?

Hello !
is it possible to install the 1.0 to the 1.2 Version of Vantage German files?
if not how can somebody get this to work ?
do i take the older files and try to up date them myself?
what is the big difference between the 1.0 and 1.2 files?
there must be a possibility right?

this is very inportant cause I would love to get the theme but nedd german language files

There would be untranslated strings and potentially issues if you try and use an old translation file, so we would recommend using an up to date translation for the version of the theme you are using. Yes you can update existing translations using the poedit software options, and you can also find instructions relating to theme translations from our main languages page here. Thanks.

so when I buy Vantage latest version it wont work with -

the german files because they are not for vanrage 1.2 ?
this meens every time the template gets an update I have to update the language file to,
what sense does this make ?
I meen the first language file of german for Vantage would work with an update of the template,
but because the tempalte has changed it will have Problems with a file that should work cause language is language or not?

I am in a worry that when I buy the theme as a christmas present for myself that I will not get the German file working and
then get upset a bit, you know?

All theme translations are provided to us by members of the community, so they are updated only as they are sent to us - you don't pay separately for these language files. The translation files often only need be updated for major releases when the most changes are made (e.g. v1.1 or v1.2..), however sometimes you may need to update for minor releases as well (e.g. v1.1.2, v1.1.4..). We would recommend they're reviewed at every release anyway so you're not left with untranslated strings.

As per the link provided, you can create your own translation file if one does not exist for the latest version, which would give you the translation you require. We do offer translator benefits as well, so you could save money on your theme purchase if you were to provide an update German translation for the theme.
