    Working maps

Strange, the listings all have maps and they are functioning. Not sure what your issue is.

If you could please clarify specifically what issues you are experiencing with the demo, we will be more than happy to address these. Thanks.

    thanks,

    the error is
The Google Maps API server rejected your request. The "sensor" parameter specified in the request must be set to either "true" or "false".

the nag appears when you view the listing on the demo:
    http://demos.appthemes.com/?theme=vantage

this is really the only thing that is holding back the purchase

thanks for the reply, much appreciated

i know never to believe my own eyes, esp online
but im a little over paying for paying for crawly things

maybe others are facing the same delusion?
or is this strictly an app for U.S users?.

    U.S 300 million
rest of the world: 6.7 Billion

interesting fact, and a common problem none the less

Thank you very much for providing more details and a screenshot for this problem you're seeing. I'm personally unable to replicate it on the Vantage demo or my own installations (for the record, I am in New Zealand ;), so I have asked some members of our development team to have a look at their end and perhaps provide some suggestions as to why this may be occurring for you.

If it's not too much trouble, could you please also confirm the browser you are using? I'll come back to you about this as soon as I have some feedback. Thanks.

    Hey P,

I think the issue is simply 'browser related' as I did test on a different location and a different laptop with all the trimmings installed

myself, I run a very lean version of firefox with 99% of services disabled (flash, adobe junk etc) so I feel that this could be the issue. (avoiding 'flash cookie stuffing', jre exploits and alike)

its strange, as I dont think google operate g-maps with any flash 'hang ups' but i could be wrong.

let me test again tomorrow (im in Sydney) so I have had a long day juggling keywords for SEO and even my hair hurts.
    - will get back with more details

*maybe add something to your pre-sales notes as this could hurt sales.

none the less I will be making the purchase as its a pretty nice directory

    thanks again

Thanks for the update, and yes we'd love to hear the outcome of further testing if you have a chance to do so. We'd certainly like to isolate the problem in case it occurs for others so your input is appreciated :)

    update.

Its a problem when you disable flash/shockwave on firefox.

im pretty confused on this but that seems to be the issue....totally weird but will read more about in the g-maps docs regarding v3

on a fresh install of firefox everything is fine (no jre etc). im just very cautious with what i have running (forensic data recovery guy ages ago)

I must admit the issue was mine which is ok as i did learn something new so all is good and will keep it in mind if i see it again.

making purchase now seeing its a great theme and ALL the hard work has already been done by Appthemes

Thanks for the update! It's certainly always useful to know why these issues occur and we appreciate you taking the time to test it out. At least I know where to start if it is mentioned again ;)
