I have questions before purchase...

I am considering purchasing Vantage for a City website that has hundreds of merchants and they need a merchant directory by business type. They also need their current site's content to be imported in to the new one. Is Vantage a good choice for this?
More questions:
Can I remove the "add business now" button that the public sees?
CAn I use just the business directory part of Vantage and use standard wordpress with a custom template for the rest of the site or do I have to have Vantage for the entire site?

Also, is it possible to remove the review part of this if the client doesn't want to go though the trouble of managing it?

Vantage has a built in importing tool which allows you to import data in .csv format, so as long as you complete the fields required in the example file (provided with the theme), then you can import existing data from another site. You can view the available fields for listings in the Vantage Demo.

This reply also applies to your question @wjgoodman: Our themes are not encrypted, so if you wish to remove or add features that you see on the demo, you are free to do so by way of customization of the theme on your part. We recommend the use of child themes when considering making such changes as this will prevent you losing all of your modifications in the process of an upgrade.

Yes, Vantage can be installed in a subdirectory of your domain if you preferred to use another theme as your main homepage.

I understand most of what you are saying, but I need to know a couple of specific things before I purchase.
1. Will I be able to alter the search where it says Near (city country), because I will use it for a city business directory, it needs to say (street, area) or (city, country) needs to come out all together. Is that possible with a child theme?
2. I need to put a rotating featured merchant in on the site. Can that be done with this plugin?

I forgot one of my questions... is there a recommended limit to the quantity of merchants in the Vantage business directories?
